ABOUT kaylynn
I was 10 when my parents bought me a used film camera of my very own. I documented my family, the rooms we lived in, the places we went, the pets in the yard. I’d spend hours digging through the dresser drawer of loose leaf printed photos in our living room, imagining the moments before and after the shutter had clicked.
My mom hung a photo I’d taken of a bridge over a misty lake in the woods on our refrigerator. They each told me they loved this photo because of its composition but more importantly, that it felt soft and sacred just like the time we spent together there as a family.
I haven’t stopped making photographs since. I studied photography in college and fell in love with visual storytelling.
I want to create honest, soul stirring, connected and storied art for you. To make the beautiful mess of life into memories to hold and pass down for generations.
