Wind and warmth and twirling at twilight—this time with the Clays felt like a deep exhale. Full of movement, laughter, and the kind of emotion you can’t stage if you tried. Their love is big and a little wild, the kind that spills over, so we gave it the space it deserved beneath the wide-open Texas sky.
The air hummed, the sun lingered just a little longer, and the light found them exactly as they were—soft, golden, and completely themselves. I don’t ever want to forget the way it wrapped around their faces that day. Everything was glowing.The light met them gently, like it knew them already. One of those moments you tuck away knowing we did it, we captured the feeling on film.

by the pool with the most wonderful baby bump you ever did see. And flowers. Lots of flowers. Your life is busy, beautifully (and sometimes chaotically) full.
You wake in the morning to bright little eyes eager for the day, small hands going through small sleeves. You drink coffee and make sure mouths are fed. Someone refuses to eat what’s offered but that’s what crackers and peanut butter are for. The day is underway and blurring by, you wonder how your children become more beautiful by the day and have the energy to…everything.
Practices, activities and full cars and snack breaks ill the hours.
It’s time to get ready for bed but just one more book, one more drink of water, one more question answered. Prayer. Breathe out.
Ordinary repeats ordinary unless we take the time to be slow and mindful.

A day just for them, to have and to hold. The mountains surrounded their love and spoke to its steadiness.
I don’t often shoot weddings but when I do, it’s for kind people who are focused on what really matters, the life they’re building together and documenting how they felt as the day ebbs and flows.
