I’m definitely not the cheapest photographer around and our main goal isn’t to make traditional portraits for a Christmas card. We’re gunna tell your story with lots of detail and create heirloom pieces of art that will live on in your family for generations.
We’ll always plan but, when the time comes, having open hands, going with the flow, and letting the light lead us will make our time together so good and get the most authentic connections. Your trust and ability to be in the moment are the secret ingredient here. Also, we’re gunna play. If we don’t do that then what are we even doing?
Printed, hold in your hand, frames on the wall, photographs take your favorite moments out of the cloud and give them a real life on your walls, shelves, and coffee tables. They survive dead phones, forgotten passwords, and the passage of time. They’re a time machine, you can incorporate into your everyday and pass down throughout generations.
I want you to feel relaxed and safe to be yourselves. To interact as if I weren’t there and to take the chance to indulge in all the affection you can handle. We all love technology, but when it comes to your photographs, nothing compares to having prints in real life. Images deserve to exist beyond a screen—printed, framed, and woven into your everyday spaces. Print and framing are thoughtfully included in my process; reach out for a deeper look at the experience and print products available.
I require a deposit of the session fee at the time of booking to reserve your date in my calendar. Your total payment will depend on which heirloom products you select at our reveal meeting !
Each print comes with it's matching digital image!
How do payments work?
Your deposit is non-refundable. Any additional payments made after the deposit will be refunded or applied to your new date if we reschedule.
What if we need to cancel/reschedule?
Depending on my schedule and availability, we can reschedule for better weather as a last-minute joint decision. That said, some of my favorite sessions have been in crazy weather! Embracing the elements often makes for incredible photos. The only times I’ve rescheduled shoots due to weather is if my gear would be damaged by excessive rain.
What do we do if it’s raining at our session?
I don’t set specific numbers for my collections because every session varies so much from the next. That said, you can expect these minimums for the following to get an idea of what you’ll receive! Regardless of the number, I make sure to capture all the big and little moments—these are your memories, and I won’t skimp on preserving them for you. So don’t worry about limits; you can purchase as many digital and print images as your heart desires, and even grab some for gifts!

How many images can we expect from our session?
After our reveal session, I’ll share your selected images in a private online gallery for you to download. You are more than welcome to share your images—honestly, it makes my little heart so happy! As stated in our contract, I may use the images on social media, my website, and in business materials like this one. If there are any images you’d like to keep private, we can discuss them before our session to ensure they’re just for your eyes.
Do you post everything online?
Getting more traditional photos shouldn’t be your main reason for hiring me. Of course, I do make an effort to capture a few shots of everyone looking at the camera, but if your main goal is a traditional Christmas card photo or a mini session, I’m not the right fit. If you want photos that feel like art—emotive, full of movement, grit, and whimsy—I’m definitely the photographer for you.
What if I want more traditional family photos?
Typically, for portrait sessions, it takes 2 weeks to put all the final touches on your photos.
What is your turnaround time?
I am so grateful for my amazing clients who have been with me for years—the ones who have encouraged me to stand firm in my value. To my mentors and industry friends who have helped me recognize my worth and cheered me on, I am deeply thankful. I’m so honored to even be considered as a documentarian of your life. I appreciate every person who reaches out in hopes of getting in front of my lens.
I want this experience to feel truly special, and I continually craft it to be one-of-a-kind and worth every penny. What I’ve learned, photographed, and witnessed over the past decade has made me a better artist and, in turn, allowed me to curate and deliver an extraordinary product and experience. The offerings I provide today have quite literally increased in value.
I have never invested this much in family photos can you share more on your pricing structure and investment?
I don’t! Editing is half the magic that goes into the creative process! Also, most people don’t have the software neccesary to even open a raw image.
Do you give raw unedited images?
I always suggest two options. As a general rule of thumb, bring outfits that make you feel like yourself and that are comfortable to move around in. Neutrals and muted tones always look great, while very bold colors can draw attention away from the person wearing them. But if you’re all about color, let’s brainstorm—I love the styling part of this work! Anything that can show movement or catch the wind also looks amazing in photos.
What do we wear for photos?
Besides color correcting, I retouch impermanent blemishes, marks, and bruises. I don’t alter any natural features of your body, such as curves or double chins. If there’s something you’re particularly self-conscious about, please let me know—I want you to feel comfortable and confident with the posing and direction I provide during the shoot!
